Spotlight - Rahul Hemrajani
Rahul Hemrajani is part of the Beta Class, Xi Chapter at Drexel University. Since becoming a brother in Fall 2009, Rahul has been a key contributor to the success of Xi Chapter even when not on Executive Board. Immediately after crossing, Rahul became the Co-Service Chair and helped plan and host the 1st Annual Drexel Who’s Got Game, which raised over 1,300 dollars for JDRF. The very next year Rahul served as both the Parliamentarian and Service Chair. Currently he is the youngest President in Xi Chapter’s short history. He has helped the Chapter transition smoothly to life without founders attending school.
Rahul has been in charge of planning several events, not only at Drexel University, but also at the regional and national level. For the past two years he has planned Who’s Got Game raising over 1500 dollars for JDRF. He also organized Xi’s Raas for a Cure garba this year, raising over 500 dollars, as well as the first Dodging Diabetes tournament at Drexel University, raising over 700 dollars.
Rahul played a key role in the planning of the first Northeast Regional Formal and in all of the War of the Colonies in the Northeast region. In addition, the 2011 National Convention held at Xi Chapter would not have been a success without his help. Rahul has committed countless hours into setting high standards for all of the chapter’s activities. He has been awarded numerous awards such as the Commitment Award and Brother of the Year during the Xi Chapter formal. He also served as secretary for the Multicultural Greek Council’s executive board at Drexel University. He is currently in his third year at Drexel University working at DuPont for his coop. Rahul is majoring in business administration and aspires to work in New York City with a prestigious company.
