Happy 13 Year Anniversary
Oct 1, 2011 - Thirteen years ago, 18 young gentlemen came together at the University of Texas at Austin and founded the largest and fastest growing South Asian fraternity in the nation: Delta Epsilon Psi. They came together with the inspiration to start something great and established our organization on three pillars: Brotherhood, Discipline and Commitment. The Founders' passion for service and drive to create a unified South-Asian voice laid the foundation for our organization which remain solid amongst the chapters across the nation.
The establishment of our organization started with a vision to start a brotherhood that would provide opportunities for young men to make the best out of their college experience and prepare them for the professional world afterwards. As our mentorship and alumni network grows exponentially, we expand on our Founders' visions to fellow brothers with opportunities, which were not available thirteen years ago.
Even though our fraternity’s traditions, principles and ideals remain the same, we continue to surpass expectations that are laid before us. Through the years we have expanded throughout the nation, establishing 27 chapters and colonies at various universities. Our drive for service remains unparalleled, with our brothers performing over 17,000 hours of service through this year year alone. Our efforts with our national philanthropy, Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation continues to grow, with our organization donating over $80,000 over the past 2 years nationwide.
From our official partnership with JDRF, to our induction into the National Inter-Fraternity Council, we continue to achieve milestones that were our Founders' dreams 13 years ago. We must give thanks to all the brothers that came before us and laid pathway for our success. Without the hard work and dedication of each of our 1200 brothers, our organization would not be able to achieve at the level we are now.
By working on two fronts, expansion and internal development, we have solidified a strong national presence and have become the premiere South-Asian fraternity in the nation. Today, we ask each of you to continue in those efforts to ensure that the future of Delta Epsilon Psi remains bright.
Eighteen men became many, one city became a nation, one moment became thirteen years, but yet our three pillars remain unchanged and our vision true. Gentlemen, take a moment today to enjoy the successes of our fraternity and remember the hard work that has taken place to achieve our goals, and then take a deep breath, because our journey is just beginning.
