2011 National Brother Of The Year
Robin Sunny is a devoted brother of Delta Epsilon Psi, Mu Colony. He has put in much time and effort to make the brothers of Mu Colony develop a reputation as being dedicated leaders within the Lubbock community and the Texas Tech University campus. Striving for excellence in all aspects of his life, Robin spreads his work ethic to all brothers through the virtues of our three pillars. He lives his life daily upholding the three principles of brotherhood, discipline, and commitment.
Robin has never backed down from a chance to help his brothers. He has helped brothers in times of desperation--from a simple motivating conversation, to picking up them up when they are stranded on the road. Additionally, he has no qualms about assisting his brothers in their understanding of educational material. When his line brother from the Alpha Chapter came as a transfer student for orientation at TTU, Robin made it his personal mission to make sure everything was taken care of for that him. For example, he made him breakfast in the mornings and introduced him to pertinent people at Texas Tech. In the words of his line brother, “He took better care of me than my parents.”
Robin’s discipline is undeniably strong. Physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually, he has worked on improving himself in every facet of his life. Whether it be in the gym, studying, or reading and researching on current events, he spends several hours during the week improving upon himself wherever he can. He understands that people see him as a brother of Delta Epsilon Psi, and he pushes to make sure that the image of the fraternity is never tarnished. His mind never wanders from the task at hand: to meet the full potential of his being.
Robin’s commitment can be considered unbreakable. He has an unwavering talent to set a goal and meet it. Ever since his crossing, he has never been inactive in any academic semester. He has an undying love for this fraternity. It is evident that that he puts in 100% effort when it comes to work ethic. When a plan goes in the wrong direction, he does not abandon it. He remains fixed on the issue and sees the project through to its end. For that reason, his colonial brothers voted for him to receive the “Commitment of the Year, 2010-11” award.
Robin Sunny has been a student at Texas Tech University for four years. He has played a strong role in the progress of Delta Epsilon Psi, Mu Colony. His view on life is to push himself to his absolute limits and to be successful in all of his aspirations. Everything Robin has done up until this point is just barely scratching the surface. He wishes to do more, bigger things for himself and his fraternity in the future.
