Official Partnership with JDRF
LUBBOCK, TX, Feb. 16, 2011-Delta Epsilon Psi is pleased to announce that the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation has chosen to recognize Delta Epsilon Psi as one of their official philanthropic partners. The partnership was officially recognized on Feb. 14, 2011.
Type I diabetes has always been DEPsiʼs primary philanthropy, and with the new partnership with JDRF, DEPsi will officially be recognized and promoted for all signature service events on JDRFʼs national website, www.jdrf.org, as well as their Facebook page. Additionally, the partnership will allow officials from JDRF to attend national service events to personally collect funds raised by DEPsi, as well as recognize DEPsiʼs efforts at their respective universities.
DEPsi is the only fraternity in the United States to be recognized as an official partner of JDRF largely due to funds raised in average of $50,000 annually. With the support of JDRF, the members of DEPsi have set a goal to reach an annual average of $100,000 in the next five years.
JDRF has built a nationwide network of advocates who are dedicated to finding a cure for Type 1 diabetes. With the support of DEPsi and various other organizations, JDRF has provided more than $800 million in direct funds to diabetes research. More than 80 percent of JDRF's expenditures directly support research and research-related education.
