Pushing the Limits at Lambda

During the month of April, the Lambda Chapter of Delta Epsilon Psi won multiple awards from the Diversified Greek Council. Official awards include: most supportive organization, prophyte of the year, and neophyte of the year. Prophyte of the year award went to Anish Patel, and neophyte of the year went to Sajan Parag.

There were also some unofficial awards, which include: Mr. DGC, and The “Ravi” award. The “Ravi award was given to Ravi Pankajkumar for being the most unique individual in the Diversified Greek Council. Saumya Sinha earned the title of Mr. DGC. Overall, this semester was a great semester. The brothers of Lambda Chapter were able to make a strong impact within the Greek community. Not only on the diversified Greek Council but also in other councils. The brothers of Lambda Chapter exemplified all three pillars, Brotherhood, Discipline, and Commitment when displaying their efforts to the Council.

Anish Patel also earned a seat on the Diversified Greek Council’s executive board as the treasurer of DGC. He had most of the other organizations backing him up to bring the DGC to a much greater level. Many of the brothers of Lambda Chapter are also taking active roles in other non-Greek organizations such as the Asian-Pacific American Coalition (APAC) and Sangam, UCF’s Indian Student Association.

Nikesh Bhika is currently running for presidency of Sangam. Three other brothers of Delta Epsilon Psi are planning to run for Sangam. These positions include: Vice President, Treasurer, and Secretary. All of which are on the executive board and all the brothers have a very good chance of winning considering the circumstances of Sangam.

Saumya Sinha recently was relieved of his position of Media Director for APAC. The position was given to Jay Solanki. Instead Saumya opted to take up the Marketing chair for APAC. Treasurer was given to Mrugesh Patel. Delta Epsilon Psi now holds many positions in APAC and now has a lasting impact within the Asian community, not just the South Asian community or the Greek Community.

There are many other brothers who are planning on taking up other positions that have not yet been filled within DGC, APAC, and Sangam. It depends on their situation for the next year. These positions are mainly executive board positions ranging from presidency, to secretary. The brothers of Delta Epsilon Psi are planning to take a much more active role in Sangam since it is a South Asian group and Delta Epsilon Psi is a South Asian organization.

The brothers of Delta Epsilon Psi Lambda Chapter are doing big things. The brothers are keeping the brotherhood strong, consistently reaching new heights, creating stronger bonds, and inspiring the youth.
