Bleed Blue

Where to begin, Where to begin; Delta Epsilon Psi has made a huge impact on my life, not only with making me Greek, and joining the many Greeks in the world; but expanding my horizon to things I was naïve about before. Such as service, and JDRF, this fraternity has showed me that there are many disadvantage people out there who need our help more than anything and we have the power to change their lives with little effort. I have personally over my time as a Delta accomplished over 200 hours of service and helped out the New Jersey Community whether it comes to cleaning parks, helping our disadvantaged children with food drives, or even bone marrow drives. Delta Epsilon Psi prides itself on service before social and its three pillars show that not only are our brotherhood, discipline and commitment the things that keep us together; but it also helps us through our lives as well.

Discipline is what keeps us going and motivates us to always work hard and know that there are no challenges that can stop us from keeping on going. Commitment is the main thing that keeps us involved with school, work, and religion, it is the gas that ignites our fire; and motivates us to succeed and be the leaders we were all trained to become. We all came in as men, and we all came out as leaders. We all put our hearts and souls into this fraternity, and know we pride ourselves; as the Blue and Silver Men on Campus. Everyone knows that our service and commitment to our campus is key; and no matter what we will work our hearts and brains out in order to make the world a better place; one step at a time. Recently, I have been working on keeping our ties close to the Newark Area, and making our disadvantaged diverse neighborhood much known with the service we commit to. I have worked with the NLAAP, National Latino Aids Awareness Program in Newark, I am a member of the Jersey Cares Organization which happens to be our primary partner for service here at this campus, it has helped us make a difference in parks, schools, and soup kitchens.

Without this fraternity, none of this would have been possible; my grades have been spectacular since I have joined this fraternity, and I will never regret the decision I made to become a Delta. The list can go on and on, on the difference that Delta Epsilon Psi has made on my life personally, and the lives of the many in communities; but one thing for sure it that, “Once You Become A Delta; You’re a Delta For Life.” So it’s not just a college thing, no; it’s something that you have committed yourself for the rest of your life and to the 1500 brothers out there that will give you a lending hand before anyone.
