Shifting Priorities

Delta Epsilon Psi has impacted me in several ways. I became more open minded about things and consider all the possibilities, not just the ones that I want to happen. I have become more focused in my studies as a result of the fraternity emphasizing the importance of education. I am able to be a leader of my peers. I’m not afraid to step up and do what’s best for my peers and I. I’ve became stronger as a person. I’m mentally stronger and don’t let little things affect me.

I feel as though I am ready for any challenge that is ahead of me. Before the pledge process I used to shy away from daunting tasks, however, through the process I learned that it is all mental. Anything you set out to achieve is possible as long as you have confidence. I became a reliable person and a hard worker. Joining the fraternity helped me realize that the only way to get somewhere in life and become successful is to go out and get it. Through the hard work of pledging to go after what I wanted, which is to become a brother, I realized that the same hard work and help me become whatever I want to become in life.

I’ve become more focused on the important things in life. The fraternity has made an overall better person. I learned how to be patient and control my temper. It has taught me self-control and how to decide between what is wrong and what is right.
